Thanks man, it's cool having regular readers :)

About variance levels, my guess is there's more variance online than live, but only because online games (or so I'm told) play more aggressively. Something about it being tougher to toss real chips around with such abandon.. Also, I'm guessing there's more shoving online than live partially because online you've only got 100 big blinds to work with - some live games are a lot deeper, so it's a lot harder to just shove with a draw, etc. So yeah, having deeper stacks would certainly lead to a lot more postflop play.

And heh, about the 500k, there's obv. like a 0.1% chance of that happening, so don't get my hopes up :)

Great post. Enjoyed it a lot. I'm curious as too your variance levels, it seems like there's a lot of shoving at 1/2 level. More so than live play.

I think most players now a days are all preflop players and have no clue how to play post flop. You can tell the internet players when you play live. Their bets really seem random at a live poker table but not so much online. It's just weird.

In any event I will keep track of your journey and I wish you the best of luck on your pursuit of 500K.
